This past weekend, Rug Doctor celebrated Cinco De Mayo by providing a free deep cleaning of car mats for Orchard Supply Hardware shoppers in San Jose. We were thrilled to co-host this event with Mix 106.5 FM and Orchard Supply Hardware!

Last year, Rug Doctor launched the beginning of a new era in rental deep carpet cleaning with the release of our new and improved rental machines, Pro Deep Carpet Cleaner and Pro Portable Spot Machine. Orchard Supply Hardware is the first in the San Jose market to receive these new and improved machines. To celebrate the launch of these machines, Rug Doctor wanted to do something special for San Jose – so we decided to get our hands dirty and clean car mats for free!

To demonstrate the new Pro Portable Spot machine and its superior suction power, we asked Orchard Supply shoppers to let us clean their car mats while they shopped. There were some tough challenges, but nothing the Pro Portable Spot machine couldn’t handle.

In total, Rug Doctor associates deep cleaned 237 car mats! There was plenty of #disgustifaction experienced by Rug Doctor associates and shoppers alike. Just look at all that dirt and filth extracted from the mats!

Shoppers enjoyed seeing the transformations happen before their eyes, some even jumping in to help and get a closer look of the machine.

These amazing transformations were wonderful to experience, but we also enjoyed surprising customers with just how much dirt and filth is hidden deep within the fibers of their car mats. Some shoppers brought us what they thought were “clean” car mats, because there were no visible stains or dirt. But after a deep clean with the Pro Portable Spot machine, they were shocked by the amount of dirty water and filth extracted from their vehicles.

Rug Doctor also sponsored giveaways with Mix 106.5, and four lucky winners received a free Portable Spot Cleaner from Rug Doctor valued at $129.99. Many winners also received Orchard Supply gift cards, local event tickets, Rug Doctor plush toys, and more! Thanks for having us, San Jose. We sure had a blast!

Overall, the event was a huge success. The energy and excitement around the introduction of the new deep cleaning machines was palpable. Shoppers left with clean, fresh car mats. Shoppers commented on the power, versatility and ease of using the machines and how great their car mats looked and smelled.
