Congratulations on your purchase of a Rug Doctor® product. Rug Doctor is pleased to provide this limited warranty. Warranty coverage applies to the original owner (“you”) of the product only and is not transferable. Proof of original purchase is required to obtain warranty coverage. By purchasing and using the product, you agree to the terms of this warranty as set forth herein.
WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY COVER?
For 1 year from the date of purchase or delivery, whichever is later, if your product has a defect in materials or workmanship that existed when the product was purchased, Rug Doctor will, in our sole discretion, either repair or replace the product or defective part free of charge. Warranty coverage is subject to contacting and completing the warranty process with Rug Doctor and is subject to the conditions and exclusions below. Rug Doctor will, at its option for the original purchaser, repair or replace any part that is defective in material or workmanship for your Machine within the Warranty period listed above. Rug Doctor gives you, the original purchaser, who retains proof of purchase from Rug Doctor or an authorized Rug Doctor Dealer, this limited Warranty for your Machine acquired for normal household use (rental use is excluded). The purchase receipt showing the date, price, and item of purchase is the initial document of proof of purchase.
In the event of a repair or replacement, the repaired or replaced product will be warranted for the remaining term of the original product’s warranty period. This limited warranty is valid only the United States and its territories.
WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY NOT COVER?
This limited warranty does not cover:
- damage caused by normal wear and tear, accident, other casualty, neglect, improper maintenance; improper use, improper assembly, or unauthorized settings;
- damage caused by machine alterations;
- abuse or misuse of the Machine, including use not in accordance with the User’s Guide;
- damage caused by unauthorized repair or parts
- routine maintenance, such as the removal of clogs or cleaning brush rollers;
- damage caused by external sources, such as liquids, hot materials, weather or proximity to heat;
- damage from mishandling in transit, accident, fire, floors, acts of God; or consequential or incidental damages
Rug Doctor does not provide any warranty for cleaning formulas or individual parts for the Machine that are available for purchase, including brushes, filters, belts, and batteries.
For best operating efficiency and cleaning, use of Rug Doctor or Rug Doctor by BISSELL parts and formulas is recommended.
Except as provided above, this warranty will not be voided by unauthorized, independent, or third-party repair or by the mere use of non-Rug Doctor formulas or replacement parts. For more information about the use of the product, please refer to the User Guide.
HOW DO YOU OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE?
To obtain warranty assistance, please call 1-800-RUG DOCTOR (1-800-784-3628) or email consumer.support@rugdoctor.com. Rug Doctor will need the following information to best assist you: your name, address, telephone number, product model, serial number, and proof of purchase showing date and place of purchase or date of delivery, if applicable. We recommend you keep the original carton and packing materials as Rug Doctor does not provide any boxes or packing materials.
Rug Doctor partners with repair centers across the United States to help repair your Rug Doctor® machine. IMPLIED WARRANTIES WHICH MAY ARISE BY OPERATION OF LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE 1-YEAR DURATION FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE OR THE SHORTEST PERIOD ALLOWED BY LAW. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state. This warranty constitutes the entire agreement between you and Rug Doctor regarding warranty coverage for your product, and no representation or promise not included herein concerning the warranty is binding.
LIMITATION OF REMEDIES; EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
Rug Doctor is not liable for any consequential or incidental damages of any nature involving the purchase/use of your Machine. In no event shall Rug Doctor’s liability exceed the purchase price of the Machine. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
