Ever try the “Risky Business” slide in your stocking feet?
Socks don’t lie. Mostly because mopping is a time consuming chore that has been proven ineffective, since it just moves dirt and bacteria around rather than removing it! But don’t worry. There’s a better alternative.
Use an extractor machine, like Rug Doctor’s FlexClean All-in-One Floor Cleaner or Floor Doctor Hard Floor Cleaner, for a more effective and easier way to remove ground in grime, contaminants and allergens from all your hard floors.
What is an extractor?
When using the mop and bucket method of cleaning, mops spread around increasingly dirty water as the cleaning progresses. Rug Doctor extractor machines, on the other hand, only wash with fresh clean water throughout the entire cleaning session. Our hard floor cleaning machine lightly sprays clean, soapy water on the floor, and then a durable brush safely scrubs off soil and sticky substances, followed by our signature suction power that extracts all the dirty water into a separate tank for disposal. You’ll be amazed at all the yucky stuff you remove from your hard floors.
What kind of yucky stuff is on your hard floors?
You’ve probably heard of the “5-second Rule,” the popular belief that you can safely eat food you drop on the floor as long as you pick it up in five seconds or less. Well you may want to reconsider following this rule. When food comes into contact with a contaminated surface, the transfer of bacteria to the food is IMMEDIATE. And tile, wood, and laminate surfaces transfer much more bacteria than carpeted surfaces¹.
Your hard floors harbor bacteria and other contaminants that could cause you to get sick. Studies have found that potentially dangerous pathogens such as campylobacter, salmonella, and E. coli can live on hard surfaces for days — all of which can cause mild to severe gut infections. University of Arizona researchers tested the bottoms of people’s shoes and found nine different species of bacteria, including ones that can cause stomach, eye and lung infections. Even worse, they reported bacteria live longer on our shoes than on other surfaces, and 90% to 95% of shoe-borne bacteria transfer onto tile floors².
Traditional mops can leave anywhere from 30-60% of soils and bacteria behind. A hard floor cleaner that extracts the dirty water actually removes 99% of soils, leaving the floor clean and free of allergens and contaminants. This extractor cleaning technology cleans all types of hard floors from tile to sealed hardwood, concrete, vinyl, laminate plus the grout lines in between.
Clean and dry faster with an extractor
You can clean 3-4 times more area with an extractor versus using a mop. There’s no dunking, wringing it out, or carrying a sloshing dirty water bucket to empty and refill. The Floor Doctor Hard Floor Cleaner is a cordless hard floor extractor that weighs a slim 6.6 pounds and goes anywhere you need it quickly and easily. Think of how much easier that is than the manual force needed to wrestle with a heavy wet mop.
Extractors also dry as they go. Mops usually leave floors wet and slippery. Hard Floor Cleaner combines suction power and a soft squeegee nozzle to remove excess moisture, leaving your hard floors clean and safe to walk on. Quickly extracting excess water can help preserve the look of your hard floors, as well. Too much water sitting too long can create a breeding ground for mold and mildew in grout lines. It can also create water spots on laminate floors.
You won’t believe what you extract from your hard floors
The proof is in the dirty water pour. Sometimes hard floors don’t appear to be dirty, but your socks indicate they are dirtier than you think. The dual tank cleaning system enables you to experience the satisfaction of cleaning by actually SEEING all the extracted dirt, grime, bacteria and allergens from your hard floors being poured down the drain.
Don’t forget the garage floor
Extractors are perfect for keeping your garage floor looking great. A Rug Doctor extractor sprays, scrubs and lifts standing water and grime from the garage floor. It can also extract excess water from rain that can leave puddles or remove fluids that sometimes leave tough stains. Rug Doctor extractors are the easiest way to tackle the chore of cleaning your garage floor.
