What is an extractor?

When using the mop and bucket method of cleaning, mops spread around increasingly dirty water as the cleaning progresses. What kind of yucky stuff is on your hard floors?

You’ve probably heard of the “5-second Rule,” the popular belief that you can safely eat food you drop on the floor as long as you pick it up in five seconds or less. Well you may want to reconsider following this rule. When food comes into contact with a contaminated surface, the transfer of bacteria to the food is IMMEDIATE. And tile, wood, and laminate surfaces transfer much more bacteria than carpeted surfaces¹.
